I've been a Firefox fan for a number of years now, but have noticed that the speed of Firefox leaves much to be desired. After hearing multiple times about the speed of Google Chrome browser, I figured it was time to try it out. After 2 minutes of use, I could tell an appreciable difference in speed. Its rocking fast.
The only major thing that may hinder my use of Chrome will be compatibility issues with other add-ons like Flash, Adobe Reader, etc. But I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
Professor, father, husband, and lover of life. In this blog, I share my thoughts on my central purpose in life: to teach others how to make better decisions, specifically in designing, building, maintaining, and using information systems. I review books, explain scientific research, discuss philosophy, talk about education, and share my own experiences on how to make the best decisions for living a happy successful life.
As a google fanboy I have to say I love chrome.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the application shortcut yet? It is really awesome. I use most of the google apps: gmail, reader, docs, voice, etc. For each one I have created an application shortcut in my quicklaunch bar. You click on the little gmail icon and it opens up a chrome browser that has gmail in it and nothing else. (no navbar or anything like that).
It's pretty sweet.
