Professor, father, husband, and lover of life. In this blog, I share my thoughts on my central purpose in life: to teach others how to make better decisions, specifically in designing, building, maintaining, and using information systems. I review books, explain scientific research, discuss philosophy, talk about education, and share my own experiences on how to make the best decisions for living a happy successful life.

Information - share, store, and process
While teaching my Intro to MIS class, I've had a chance to reflect on the major roles of information in human life. One thing I've noticed is that information can be acted upon in three major ways; information can be shared, information can be stored, and information can be processed. By seeing how these three inter-relate, we can gain a unique perspective on how ideas propagate through society as well as how the modern computing environment explicitly relies on these three actions.
