A little bit of positive news comes from economics? Jobless claims failing. Mortgage rates at historic lows. So this Christmas, remember that all those gifts you can afford to give (and get) comes primarily from our improved standard of living. (Yes, even the poor are getting richer).

Luckily, we've broken a downtrend line going back to July. The only thing that worries me is that this week's gains have all come on domestic news. I think we need an up day on Euro news to really confirm we're starting to dig our way out. And that's my nothing-to-do-with-Christmas stock market comment of the week. :)
